Rain...?

Ahh! Even as the light drizzle wets the streets here in Santa Monica, It's still as beautiful as if it weren't . I'm off looking for new subjects and to practice my new found techniques, learned from amateurphotograher.com . I shall return later with some new pics and who knows maybe a story to go along.

Man on 7th

I spotted this fellow on 7th and Wilshire in Santa Monica. First thinking of him as a piece of garbage , as I rode my bike. He startled me with a quick jerk of his leg as he heard me pass. I jumpedoff my bike and pulled out my "digi" and snapped this pic.

I see the absence of the curb, corner and maybe a little something else. I walked up to him after and offered him a buck and he just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Who knows? Maybe he didn't speak English.

What's wrong with this photo? What's right? Any body.....?

What's up Y'all?

Well , first off thanks for giving me a minute of your time. I have always had an interest in photography as far back as I can remember . No, I wasn't a 5 year old out in the yard with a camera trying to snap a pic of ants or worms. I was a kid fascinated with the beautiful color images in National Geographic or the cool angled shots of cars in Motor Trend.

30 years later I find myself in a different state, looking for work and looking back at my so called life. Things could be worse, but hey ...It's what you make it. So here I am writing to anyone interested in photography to learn with me.
